Our Membership Service Ministry is designed to serve you and our members, by providing pertinent information, and providing a place of fellowship via the internet. Our desire is to meet the needs and be a blessing to the body of Gary Christian Center. We welcome your comments, suggestions, and feedback.

Remember, the Membership Service Department is here to serve GCC members, visitors, and our local community as a means of care, service, and outreach. We provide the following services:
Baby Dedications
Please refer to Matthew 19:14-15 NIV for a scriptural reference.)
Baby/Child Dedications (for Member's children ages newborn to 1yr) are performed every second Sunday of each month.  Our baby dedications are provided for married couples only; other accommodations are provided for single or unmarried parents.  

Applications for baby dedications must be received at least one month in advance of the desired date.
Assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis for active members who are experiencing a time of great financial lack or are facing a homeless situation, etc. Individuals must complete an application and the screening process to determine if the Church is able to assist in fulfilling their needs.
Bereavement (T.O.U.C.H. Ministry)
(Please refer to I Thessalonians 4:13-18 for a scriptural reference.)
The T.O.U.C.H. ministry is a ministry of love and compassion and provides comfort, aid, and support to Members and their families after the loss of a loved one (i.e. Spouse, Children, Parent).
Hospice Visits (T.O.U.C.H. Ministry)
When a Member is hospitalized or in need of a hospice visit, we will provide prayer and send a TOUCH Minister of the church to visit the Member or his/her loved one (family member) as requested and if appropriate.

New Believers/New Members
It is our goal to see New Believers and New Members grow and become established in the Word of God so that they can experience a life of victory in Christ Jesus. Spiritual Maturity Classes are encouraged as the first step in the process.  Additional assistance is provided to New Believers and Members as needed.
Spiritual Guidance
Pastoral Care is provided (by appointment) to those Members in need of spiritual guidance.
Visitors Care (T.O.U.C.H. Ministry)
Our T.O.U.C.H. Ministry is available to welcome visitors, offer prayer support, answer questions, or provide assistance to visiting guests. A special hospitality area is provided for our visiting guests.

The Membership Service Department, in conjunction with the Wedding Ministry is here to assist Members in simplifying their wedding plans. It is the sincere desire of our Pastor, the Wedding Ministry, and the Members of GCC to make every ceremony a most memorable and beautiful worship experience. We strive for excellence in all that we do, and we extend every possible courtesy and assistance to each wedding party. Our Wedding Ministry will work with you and your Wedding Planner to ensure that your wedding activities flow in accordance with GCC’s ministry guidelines.
 **Very Important: Special Note regarding Weddings. Couples desiring to be wed at GCC must be scheduled for premarital classes before any dates can be confirmed or pre-marriage services can be provided. Non-attendance of any of the Premarital Classes could adversely affect your plans to wed at GCC. Either the bride or groom must be a Member of Gary Christian Center in good standing (consistent tither) with regular attendance for at least six months, and must have completed the Spiritual Maturity & Discovering Church Membership Classes.
